Yasiel Puig vows not to be a distraction in 2015

One of the most common gripes about Dodgers All-Star outfielder Yasiel Puig is that he’s a major distraction for the team in their aspirations to contend for a World Championship. Puig posted a satirical cartoon on Instagram on Thursday night, vowing to not be a distraction this year.

I will not be a distraction #lmao #iwillnotbeadistraction

What an amazing cartoon – Alex Rodriguez in a Bobby Valentine costume! Ryan Braun sweating and giving the scout’s honor salute! Derek Jeter waving farewell to the crowd! Clayton Kershaw hanging out on a pile of money! Robinson Cano just chilling with his monstrous contract! David Ortiz smiling while wearing goggles and flashing his World Series rings!

And then there’s Puig, writing “I will not be a distraction” on a chalkboard, Bart Simpson style. Absolutely classic.

Of course, all of this is just fun and games now, but just wait until Puig shows up a half hour late for batting practice and it gets turned into the next edition of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
