White Sox prospect homers onto moving train

That headline sounds like something out of a comedy skit, but it actually happened on Sunday in Montgomery.

White Sox prospect Courtney Hawkins of the Birmingham Barons hit a homer off of Rays prospect Matt Lollis of the Montgomery Biscuits…and the homer hit a moving train beyond the left field wall at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.

Who knows where the ball actually landed? Maybe it’s nestled somewhere on top of that train car, and is hundreds of miles away from Montgomery by now.
