And finally, we know the AL Central champion – it’s the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers beat the Twins 3-0 behind the arm of David Price on Sunday at Comerica Park to edge out the Royals for their fourth division crown in a row.
Detroit was the best team in the division all year, and it’s shocking that it took them until game 162 to wrap the title up. The Royals and Indians should figure to give them one hell of a challenge next year, though.
The Tigers will start the playoffs on Thursday in Baltimore against the Orioles.
