Check out this mess from the first inning of Wednesday’s Red Sox-Yankees game. New York put two men on with one out, looking to jump all over Anthony Ranaudo early on. It didn’t exactly go that way.
That double play goes down as 2-6-3-4-5-3…or something like that. Not very captain-like for Derek Jeter to stray that far off third base, huh?
New York ended up putting two on the board in the second, but their lead could have been so much more if not for this sloppy baserunning by Jeter and Brett Gardner.
