The Red Sox have made their fifth trade in the last week, moving reliever Andrew Miller to the Orioles in exchange for minor leaguer Eduardo Rodriguez.

Miller is having his best year as a major leaguer in 2014, pitching to a 2.34 ERA in 42 1/3 innings, punching out 69 and walking just 13. The 6’7″ left-hander has been pure death against lefties this year, holding them to a .148/.203/.217 line and allowing just two extra base hits in 65 plate appearances.
The 21-year old Rodriguez was a highly-touted prospect coming into the season who has seen his stock fall this year. In 82 2/3 innings with AA Bowie, Rodriguez has struck out 69 and walking 29, pitching to a 4.79 ERA. He came into the season as either the third or fourth best pitching prospect in Baltimore’s organization, and he’s only still thought of that highly because of the graduation of Kevin Gausman to the major leagues.
