The Rays are salty about their flag at Wrigley Field

This weekend, the Rays take on the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Hanging outside of the park is a flag emblazoned with “Devil Rays”, Tampa Bay’s former moniker. The club isn’t too happy about that.

To be fair, it is a turn back the clock weekend at Wrigley, and the Rays will be wearing these gorgeous jerseys on Sunday.

Nevertheless, I understand the scorn. “Devil Rays” is a name associated with failure and terrible baseball. You can see why the Rays want to stay far, far away from it.
