For as bad of a year as Rickie Weeks had in 2014 with the Milwaukee Brewers, he still averaged 412 feet on his eight home runs.
This winter, Weeks signed with the Seattle Mariners, and on Saturday, he gave his new club some encouragement by obliterating this homer over the batter’s eye in dead center field at Seattle’s Spring Training complex in Peoria.
410 to dead center…a probably 20 foot wall…yeah, this is an absolute blast from Weeks.
Call me crazy, but I don’t think Weeks will be able to hit blasts like this during the regular season at Safeco Field. There were only seven homers hit at the park in 2014 that cleared 420 feet.
