Andrew Friedman has his new GM in Los Angeles. His choice for the position is former A’s assistant Farhan Zaidi, a 37-year old with a degree from MIT and a PhD in economics from Cal-Berkeley. THE NERDS ARE TAKING OVER!
Dodgers will name Oakland's Farhan Zaidi the new general manager later this week, according to baseball source.

Friedman is also adding former Diamondbacks and Padres GM Josh Byrnes to his front office in an unknown capacity.

Ned Colletti is going to have even less to do than before, I guess.
