Mike Rizzo refused to give Matt Williams a vote of confidence

Is Matt Williams coming back to the Washington Nationals in 2016?

Well…the odds of that happening may have taken a hit on Wednesday when GM Mike Rizzo refused to give him a vote of confidence during an interview on DC’s 106.7 The Fan.

That…doesn’t sound promising for Williams’ future in DC.

But then again, it’s not as if Rizzo is safe either – he’s the one that put this team together (and last year’s team, and 2013’s team, and 2012’s team), and could end up shouldering some of the blame for their struggles.
