Lloyd McClendon gets ejected, loses mind on umpires

Seattle Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon and catcher Mike Zunino were both ejected during Tuesday night’s Mariners-Yankees game after an appeal on a checked swing by Alex Rodriguez.

McClendon then lost his damn mind and went on a ridiculous tirade directed at all four umpires.

This was a bit juvenile from McClendon, but what do you expect? Seattle lost three in a row coming into Tuesday night’s tilt, and had dropped all the way down to fourth in the AL West. When a borderline call goes against your team, maybe it’s just too much to take.

But then again, this *is* Lloyd McClendon we’re talking about. Remember what he did in Pittsburgh back in the day?

OK, maybe we’re not talking about the most logical person here.
