Remember when some pundits were questioning how Texas Rangers fans would respond to Josh Hamilton in his second tour of duty with the team?
Well, as long as he produces, I think anything that happened in the past is water under the bridge. And on Friday night, Hamilton launched his first two homers of the season, gaining a pair of massive ovations from the Texas fans in the process.
His first homer of the night game in the second inning off of Steven Wright of the Red Sox.
And his second came in the fourth, also off of Wright.
I guess Arlington is a baseball town now, right?
Hamilton started off 0/9 this season with the Rangers, but is 5/8 with a double and these two homers since. If he plays like he did during his first tour of duty with the Rangers, Texas could be a very interesting team in an AL West that has disappointed aside from the Astros this season.
