Chaos is reigning in Detroit. During Friday night’s 7-2 Tigers loss to the Red Sox, shortstop Jose Iglesias got into a shoving match in the dugout with catcher James McCann.
The scuffle apparently erupted because of Iglesias giving up on a Rusney Castillo ground ball single prior to a two-run double by Xander Bogaerts.
Passion is one thing, but to get into a confrontation like that in the dugout, in the middle of the game? Yeah, that’s not a good look for anyone. The Tigers are now 11.5 back of the Royals in the AL Central, and five games behind the Blue Jays in the race for the AL’s second Wild Card spot.
