Just when you think that the life and times of former AL MVP Jose Canseco couldn’t get any more bizarre, this story pops up – he was injured in an accidental shooting at his home in Las Vegas. From KLAS 8 News Now…
A neighbor tells 8 News NOW former baseball star Jose Canseco was hurt in an accidental shooting Tuesday afternoon at his house on the eastside of the Las Vegas valley.
Metro Police confirm there was an accidental shooting at the address, but would not confirm the former player was hurt. However, records show Canseco owns the home where the shooting happened.
The good news? Canseco was apparently only shot in his hand as opposed to a more critical place.

UPDATE: TMZ is reporting that Canseco…SHOT HIS MIDDLE FINGER OFF. Oh god.
Jose’s fiancée Leila Knight tells TMZ Sports … he was sitting at a table in their home cleaning the gun when it went off. She says he didn’t know it was loaded — and the shot ripped through the middle finger on his left hand.
