Javier Baez is only in the lineup for the Cubs during Game 4 of the NLDS because regular Chicago shortstop Addison Russell is day to day with a hamstring injury.
So it must have been pretty satisfying for Baez and manager Joe Maddon when he hit a long three-run homer in the second inning off of John Lackey, giving the Cubs a 4-2 lead.
Heroes come out of nowhere every Postseason – and this year, Baez could be that guy for the Cubs.
