The dismantling of the Arizona Diamondbacks has taken another step forward, as pitcher Brandon McCarthy has been dealt to the New York Yankees.
Check that, deal is done: McCarthy to #Yankees.

McCarthy has an unsightly 5.01 ERA this season, his second in the desert. However, that ERA masks a tremendous 4.65 strikeout to walk ratio that ranks as the ninth-best mark among qualified starters in baseball.
In exchange, the Diamondbacks receive Vidal Nuno, who has a 5.42 ERA this year for the Yankees and is the very definition of a replacement player.
Confirmed Yankees' trade of Vidal Nuno to Arizona for Brandon McCarthy.
