Chris Carter’s mammoth home run increases Astros’ lead to 4-1 over Royals

In the fourth inning, it was Lorenzo Cain who hit a long home run to give the Royals a lead over the Astros in Game 3 of the ALDS.

In the seventh inning, Chris Carter one-upped Cain with a blast of his own, increasing Houston’s lead to 4-1 and making the hill that much more difficult for the Royals to climb.

No immediate word on the Statcast distance for Carter’s homer, but it capped off a pretty good day for him – Carter went 3/3 with two runs scored, a double, and that solo homer.

And naturally, Carter didn’t have a three hit game at all during the regular season.
