Carlos Gomez rubs a lot of people the wrong way. On Tuesday, he rubbed some members of the Yankees wrong when he popped up in the sixth inning of a 9-0 game and angrily flipped his bat.
Gomez came up an inning later with the Astros’ lead extended to 12-0, and he launched a three-run homer off of Chris Capuano.
And just to top things off, in the bottom half of the seventh, Gomez threw out Brian McCann at the plate.
The Yankees should have just shut up after the pop out.
