On Tuesday, we saw our first cycle of the 2015 season, courtesy of Boston Red Sox utility player Brock Holt.
In the bottom of the first, Holt doubled off of Julio Teheran.
In the bottom of the fifth, Holt singled off of Teheran.
In the bottom of the seventh, Holt homered…off of Teheran.
And in the bottom of the eighth, Holt finished off his cycle by tripling off of Sugar Ray Marimon.
It’s the first cycle by a Red Sox player since John Valentin in 1996, and is unquestionably the highlight so far of a miserable season in Boston.
