Alex Rodriguez is having a pretty good year so far for the New York Yankees, and in the second inning of their game on Friday night with the Rays at Tropicana Field, he smashed a home run 477 feet off of Nate Karns.
Needless to say, that’s the longest homer of the young 2015 season. It’s also the longest Yankees homer of the last decade, the longest homer by Rodriguez over the last decade, and the longest homer at the Trop over the last decade.
Last season, only three homers hit over the entire year traveled further than that 477 feet.
