On Monday night’s episode of the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Robinson Cano pulled off one hell of a prank on Yankees fans. The fans booed a picture of Cano, and then, surprise! Cano popped out from behind the picture and the fans suddenly stopped booing and looked like embarrassed fools.
The best part? The fan who railed on Cano for leaving for the money. He’s probably the same guy that chastises his Red Sox fan coworker for Jacoby Ellsbury leaving Boston for New York’s money, right?

Carlos Gomez may be the most confusing player to read in all of baseball. Before Sunday’s Cubs-Brewers game, a starstruck fan was so excited to meet Gomez that she was moved to tears before and after receiving a pair of hugs from Milwaukee’s All-Star center fielder.
Any time an athlete can make a fan’s day with such a simple gesture, they need to do it. It took what, ten seconds of his time to make this girl that happy? It’s a tradeoff that definitely needs to happen more often.

Here’s a very scary moment from Miller Park. Ryan Braun inadvertently clipped Brewers shortstop Jean Segura in the head with his bat while warming up in the first inning, causing Segura to leave the game after just one half inning. He was replaced at shortstop by Jeff Bianchi. Hopefully Segura is alright and will be in the lineup for Milwaukee tomorrow.
