Three Royals, two Astros, two Cardinals highlight 2015 Gold Glove winners

On Tuesday night, the 2015 Gold Glove winners were announced for both the American and National Leagues, and of course, people were furious that their favorite players didn’t win.

The 2015 awards were highlighted by three members of the World Champion Royals, two members of the AL Wild Card winning Astros, two members of the NL Central champion Cardinals, and a pair of Arizona Diamondbacks. Five AL players won for the first time, while four NL players picked up their first Gold Glove. Only one winner from either league claimed more than their third career Gold Glove – Yadier Molina of the Cardinals, who won his eighth Gold Glove award in a row.

Nolan Arenado, Eric Hosmer, and Salvador Perez all won for the third straight year, while Zack Greinke, Jason Heyward, and Dallas Keuchel claimed their second straight Gold Glove.
