Minor League Baseball is ridiculous. Each team has absurd promotions each year designed to gain national press for their team and increase local attendance. One of the most popular promotional tactics is the theme night, where the home team will wear a bizarre jersey related to the team and (usually) auction them off for charity.
This season, theme nights are out of control. Over the last year, we’ve spotlighted more than a dozen theme jerseys, from Batman to Star Wars to Nickelodeon and everything in between. But there are plenty more that have fallen through the cracks, and we felt the need to take a look at the more ridiculous jerseys that minor league teams will be wearing this year.
The Fresno Grizzlies, the new AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros, are doing *seven* theme nights in 2015, but the Jerry Tarkanian themed jerseys they’ll be wearing on April 10th along with the Las Vegas 51s are fantastic and not over the top whatsoever.
Together w/ the @LasVegas51s, we're honoring the late Jerry Tarkanian by wearing these theme jerseys. #Growlifornia pic.twitter.com/zq8gtkleF3

The Sacramento River Cats, AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are tapping into my inner child with these 90s Night Legends of the Hidden Temple jerseys on August 15th. Would have preferred the Silver Snakes, to be honest.
