We have a new leader on the yearly chart, and a new player is breathing down the neck of reigning king Giancarlo Stanton on THE LIST. Who is it? Young Joc, of course.
1. Joc Pederson vs David Hale, 480 feet (June 2nd)
Dead center at Coors Field. Yeah, it’s Coors Field, but…that’s insane.
2. Joc Pederson vs Jorge de la Rosa, 467 feet (June 2nd)
Once again, I don’t necessarily trust the Statcast data on this one…but that doesn’t mean this wasn’t a titanic blast from Joc Pederson. He’s incredible.
3. Giancarlo Stanton vs Alex Torres, 466 feet (May 30th)
Second deck at Citi Field is a legit shot, no matter who is on the mound or who is at the plate. Tip of the cap to you, Giancarlo.
4. Delmon Young vs Jake Odorizzi, 455 feet (May 31st)
Delmon Young is a flawed player, but he can still mash the hell out of righties. This homer into the bullpen was prodigious.
5. Chris Carter vs Miguel Gonzalez, 454 feet (June 3rd)
TRAIN SHOT! TRAIN SHOT! TRAIN SHOT! Chris Carter is off to a rough start in 2015, but if he keeps hitting homers like this, he’ll turn things around quickly.
