The longest home runs for the week ending June 18th

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been introduced to a prospect that could dominate THE LIST for years to come – Joey Gallo of the Texas Rangers. Gallo makes his debut this week in the top spot, and I have a nagging feeling this won’t be the last time we see him this season. But a veteran showed up twice on this list, and moved up to third place on THE LIST for the season.

1. Joey Gallo vs JR Graham, 471 feet (June 13th)

Gallo has hit five homers in the majors this season, and the shortest of those five is 423 feet. That’s outrageous. He’s averaging 440 feet per bomb, though this mammoth shot pushed the average up to that level.

2t. Miguel Cabrera vs Danny Salazar, 452 feet (June 12th)

Off the camera well? Off the camera well. Miggy’s back, I guess.

2t. Kris Bryant vs David Murphy, 452 feet (June 17th)

I almost don’t think I should count this Bryant grand slam since it came off of a position player…but what the hell, we don’t discriminate here.

4. Miguel Cabrera vs Corey Kluber, 450 feet (June 14th)

Miggy once again, slightly shorter than his previous blast on THE LIST this week. I think he’s good to go.

5. Bryce Harper vs CJ Riefenhauser, 445 feet (June 16th)

This blast by Harper would have gone in the stingray tank at the Trop had the Rays not put some netting above it. This is actually only the second homer hit by Harper this season longer than 435 feet.

4. Giancarlo Stanton vs Alex Wood, 475 feet (May 16th)
5. Giancarlo Stanton vs Cody Martin, 474 feet (May 15th)

I hate your favorite team. I also sort of hate most of my favorite teams.
