The longest home runs for the week ending August 13th

Another week in the books, and while some of the ballparks are similar, the names are a bit different. Please come back Giancarlo, we need you.

1. Danny Valencia vs RA Dickey, 459 feet (August 12th)

Danny Valencia was a member of the Blue Jays all year, until they acquired a boatload of players at the trade deadline and had no room for him. And now, he’s doing *this* against his former team. How rude.

2. Maikel Franco vs Rubby de la Rosa,  455 feet (August 10th)

Franco has probably been the biggest highlight of a wretched season for the Phillies. When he’s doing things like this, you know the future is bright.

3t. Adam LaRoche vs Greg Holland, 452 feet (August 7th)

It’s not easy to hit a homer off of Greg Holland. But Adam LaRoche was able to do that, *and* take the ball for a swim in the process.

3t. Eric Hosmer vs Huston Street, 452 feet (August 13th)

Thanks for not making this embeddable yet MLB.com, appreciate it!

How can someone hit a homer so long at Kauffman and *not* put it in the water? Just ask Eric Hosmer, he can show you how!

5. CJ Cron vs Brad Brach, 448 feet (August 7th)

CJ Cron’s best skill is his power, and he showed that off against poor Brad Brach last Friday night.
