The balls aren’t starting to fly out of the park quite yet, but we still had some pretty majestic blasts over the second week of the 2015 MLB season, and our top five for the year was almost completely overhauled.
1. Steven Souza Jr. vs Daniel Norris, 463 feet (April 14th)
This is just ridiculous. Dead center at Rogers Centre, about three decks up. Hell yeah!
2. Starlin Castro vs Kyle Kendrick, 445 feet (April 11th)
This homer by Castro shouldn’t count since it was A) at Coors Field, and B) off of Kyle Kendrick…but we’ll allow it.
3. Joc Pederson vs AJ Schugel, 444 feet (April 12th)
You generally don’t see many homers land on the left field side of that high center field fence at Chase Field. Young Joc took care of that easily.
4. Yasmani Grandal vs Chase Anderson, 440 feet (April 10th)
I’ve talked about my love for homers at Chase Field that clear the high wall in center and right center in the past. This shot by Grandal is everything I love.
5. Lucas Duda vs Jerome Williams, 436 feet (April 15th)
Yeah it only landed in the third row, but Duda went to a part of Citi Field most don’t go. He really put a charge into this one.
