The usual suspects are all gone this week. But I hope you enjoy a pair of Hunters, because out of all the Weeks we’ve done this, this is a pretty unique one.
1. Hunter Pence vs Jhoulys Chacin, 456 feet (May 21st)
This is another one of those Coors Field homers that doesn’t look like it was hit too far…until you realize just where exactly it landed at the park. Left center field, a few rows up? That takes some muscle.
2. Rickie Weeks vs Travis Wood, 455 feet (May 18th)
You REALLY don’t see many balls go out to Waveland that close to center field…but here we are. It’s been a lost couple of seasons for Rickie Weeks in Milwaukee, but he destroyed this one.
3. Scott Van Slyke vs Wade Miley, 454 feet (May 16th)
What a smash by Van Slyke – off the top of the batter’s eye at Chase Field! Yeah, balls fly out of there pretty quickly, but not to that part of the park…
4. Cody Ross vs Dan Haren, 449 feet (May 18th)
When a home run lands out of frame…yeah, that’s a long one.
5. Torii Hunter vs Trevor Bauer, 445 feet (May 20th)
When a pitch comes in at 97 mph, if the hitter connects, it’s probably going to go very far. That’e exactly what happened in this Torii Hunter at bat against Trevor Bauer.
