Mike Minor was one of the few young Atlanta players that didn't get a contract extension this winter. While a deal still may get done this spring, Minor may not be too active during Spring Training, because this winter, he underwent…urethra surgery. Oh.
Mike Minor is a few weeks behind because he had to rest for a month after undergoing a 12/31 procedure to repair scarring around his urethra

Well, that's certainly unfortunate. Minor had a 3.21 ERA in 204 2/3 innings for the Braves in 2013, turning into the team's most reliable starting pitcher. Hopefully Minor's urethra won't be an issue going forward for him and the team (also, I can't believe I wrote that last sentence).
