Manny hits his first homer for Iowa, complete with bat flip

Manny Ramirez may be 42 years old, but one of the original kings of pimping home runs showed Monday night that he still has it.

In his second game as player/coach for the Iowa Cubs, Manny crushed a two-run homer off of Omaha’s Sugar Ray Marimon to centerfield. The bat flip is vintage Manny, and pretty Yasiel Puig-esque.

Ramirez was brought in to tutor the likes of Javier Baez and Kris Bryant at Triple-A. We can only hope that the lessons include the finer points of bat-flipping.

The homer was Manny’s second hit in a 3-for-4 night. The I-Cubs eventually won the game in walkoff fashion in the bottom of the 10th.
