Oh my god, he hit the scoreboard. And he didn’t just “hit the scoreboard” – Marcell Ozuna hit the scoreboard about halfway up.
2. Edwin Encarnacion vs Alex Wils, 457 feet (September 5th)
Homers over the Green Monster aren’t really that special…unless they clear the wall, the Monster seats, and nearly end up on the damn Mass Pike.
3. Justin Morneau vs Joe Wieland, 447 feet (September 6th)
Justin Morneau is having himself one hell of a season in Denver…this homer didn’t quite make the seats in right center, but it *did* hit off the facade. Coors Field or not, that’s a blast.
4. Kennys Vargas vs Vinnie Pestano, 446 feet (September 7th)
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This blast by Vargas wouldn’t have looked out of place during July’s Home Run Derby. It went a good halfway up that elevated deck in right center field at Target Field. Gross.
5. Chris Carter vs Jeff Samardzija, 439 feet (September 5th)
Good lord. Into the seats in left center field at O.co Coliseum. That’s just…that’s not right.
