Welcome to our fifth day of season previews. Today is the final day of NL East previews, and we'll be looking at the reigning division champion Atlanta Braves today. The Braves offseason was one more of attrition than addition, as Atlanta stalwarts Tim Hudson and Brian McCann both found greener pastures this winter. The club's most major additions were starter Gavin Floyd and bench player Ryan Doumit, leading to cries that the team didn't do enough to contend with the Nationals for the division crowd.
Speaking of the Nationals, Thursday was Nationals Day at TOC, and here's your recap.
–Season preview
–Two biggest weaknesses
–Three key questions
–Four horsemen
We also examined the career of the now-retired Roy Oswalt, the reaction of former Yankees and young players to Derek Jeter's impending retirement, and a quick breakdown of the Rays' trade of Jose Lobaton to the Nationals.
Most teams' pitchers and catchers have also begun to report for Spring Training today, so we're calling it – it's baseball season now, dammit!
Enjoy Spring Training, everyone.
