Bartolo Colon creamed a foul ball, and the Mets went nuts

History was made on Monday at Citizens Bank Park – Bartolo Colon made solid contact with a pitch. Sure it was a foul ball, but this thing went into the second deck! Curtis Granderson leaped up from his spot on the bench in excitement, but it was all for naught – Colon would end up striking out in the at bat. But what does this say about Phillies starter Roberto Hernandez, who had four balls fouled off by Colon during the at bat? When he can get around on your fastball, you might have a problem.

For the record, Colon is still hitless this season, and hasn’t tallied a hit since his Cy Young winning 2005 season with the Angels.
