Miguel Cabrera homers into the ray tank at Tropicana Field

Miguel Cabrera is the best hitter in baseball, and there's really no argument otherwise. On Sunday in Tampa, Cabrera hit his 25th homer of the season in the fourth inning of the Tigers-Rays game off of Jeremy Hellickson of the Rays.

Cabrera hiting homers is nothing new, but he hit the pitch where just one ball has ever gone during a game at Tropicana Field – into the ray tank located in right center field. The only other player to hit a ball there was Luis Gonzalez (then of the Dodgers), way back on June 24, 2007 off of Edwin Jackson. Back then, the Rays were still known as the Devil Rays with their hideous black and green color scheme. That homer was listed at 434 feet, and Cabrera's bomb probably went just as far.
