Josh Donaldson’s absurd catch

Oakland has more foul territory than nearly other ballpark in the league. In the top of the sixth inning, David Murphy of the Rangers hit a pop up down the right field line in that vast foul territory. A's third baseman Josh Donaldson got on his horse, ran to the wall between the crowd and the field, leapt over the tarp, and made the catch, falling between the tarp and the wall in the process.

Let's take the absurdity of Donaldson diving over the tarp and falling behind it out of the equation for a minute. Not only did he do that, but he covered a ridiculous amount of ground making this catch. In most parks, that ball would have been in the fifth row. In Oakland, it's just an opportunity for Donaldson to make a play. Well done.
