Everything is sick to death of Bryce Harper, but once again, he's become the youngest player in baseball history to do *something*. Today, in Harper's first Opening Day as a major leaguer, he became the youngest player to homer twice on Opening Day. The 20-year old was responsible for all of the Nationals' offense on Monday, hitting solo homers in the first and fourth inning to power Washington to a 2-0 win over the Marlins.
Harper also added an outfield assist on an unreal throw home in the seventh inning that turned into a rundown between first and second, and eventually led to Giancarlo Stanton getting tagged out at the plate. But with the way Stephen Strasburg was pitching for the Nationals, he didn't need any more than the two runs that Harper provided for him.
