Boston beards up for bidding on eBay

There's a lot of baseball memorabilia on eBay. A lot of it is cool. Some of it is weird. This may fall into the latter category — just in time for the holidays, you can now buy the shaved beards of David Ortiz and Shane Victorino, along with the razor that was used to shave the facial hair off and an autograph.

The facial hair is being auctioned off by Gillette as a fundraiser for Movember, raising awareness for prostate cancer and other men's health issues. The two shaved off their beards earlier this month at the company's headquarters in Boston. Also shaving his beard at the event was Boston police officer Steve Horgan, the now-famous bullpen cop who raised his arms in celebration when Ortiz hit a Grand Slam in Game 2 of the ALCS.

The online auction will last until the end of the month. Bidding for Victorino's "beard ball" currently sits at over $500. You'll have to pay a premium for the World Series MVP's whiskers: Ortiz's "ball" is trending closer to $900. All proceeds will be donated to the Movember charity

Personally, I'd hold out for Mike Napoli's beard.
