Bobby Valentine is finally moving on from the Red Sox

Former Boston Red Sox manager, and incoming Sacred Heart athletic director, Bobby Valentine had some final words for his former club in a brief interview with the Boston Herald on Monday. When asked to talk about what's happened this offseason, Valentine said this, apparently referring to his former team and players.

“I don’t want to comment on stupid things that stupid people say,” he said. “I’m not going to comment on any of that.”

Oh lord, and here we go again. Valentine has gotten a lot of bad press in recent months from former Red Sox players shoveling dirt on his coffin, and of course, he can't just walk away from things quietly and be the bigger man for once.

But that wasn't all. When asked about whether or not he'll miss baseball, this is what Valentine said.

“I won’t miss some of the stuff I had to deal with last year, that’s for sure.”

God. Just move on and walk away, Bobby. Up in Connecticut at Sacred Heart, you're going to be dealing with Red Sox Nation a good bit, so it's probably for the best to just end that chapter in your life instead of taking potshots at everyone as you transition into a new job.
