Andrelton Simmons slips, throws runner out from seat of his pants

In the ninth inning of Monday's Braves-Nationals game, Atlanta was clinging to a 3-2 lead. Braves closer Craig Kimbrel got Ian Desmond to hit a grounder to shorstop Andrelton Simmons, who slipped as he was fielding the ball. Undaunted, Simmons fired the ball across the field like a laser beam while in a seated position, with the throw beating Desmond to the bag by a fraction of a second with help from a fantastic stretch at first from Freddie Freeman.

Kimbrel went on to get the final two outs in the inning to preserve the win and give the Braves their eighth straight win over Washington dating back to last season.
