Andrelton Simmons is still an awesome defender

Check out this play from Netherlands shortstop Andrelton Simmons during their WBC matchup with Cuba last night. With one out in the top of the second inning, Cuban shortstop Erisbel Arruebarruena hit a pop up into shallow center field on the second base side of the bag. Simmons comes from out of nowhere at his shortstop position to make a sliding catch, calling off center fielder Roger Bernadina and second baseman Jonathan Schoop. Simmons then quickly got to his feet and fired a strike to first base to double off Eriel Sanchez and end the inning for the Dutch team. What an amazing play by Simmons, widely considered to be one of the best defenders at short in baseball.
