VIDEO: Minor league basebrawl in Mississippi

In last night's game between the Mississippi Braves and Mobile Baybears, we had a benches clearing brawl in the ninth inning. Mississippi led the game 7-2 in the ninth inning, and Braves pitcher Michael Tarsi threw a wild pitch to Mobile hitter Ryan Strieby. Tarsi ran home to cover the plate, and Rossmel Perez of the Baybears slid into the plate, taking out Tarsi. Tarsi proceeded to get in Perez's face and push him before Braves catcher Christian Bethancourt came out of nowhere and leveled Perez, leading to Tarsi jumping on Perez and throwing punches. Both benches ended up clearing, and the shenanigans came to a quick end.

Bethancourt, Perez, Braves third baseman Alden Carrithers, and Mobile manager Turner Ward were all ejected from the game, while Tarsi was inexplicably allowed to stay in the game after pummeling Perez with punches. Predictably, the game ended three pitches later, when Tarsi forced Mobile center fielder Evan Frey to pop up to end the game.

On the ranking scale of basebrawls, I'm going to give this one a 5/10. It was very mild in comparison to seome of the fantastic brawls we've seen in the past, with no blood being shed or kicks being thrown. But on the bright side, any basebrawl is better than no basebrawl.
