The National League playoff matchups are set

By virtue of the Nationals' 5-1 win over the Phillies on Wednesday, we don't need to know the results of any other games in the National League to know what the playoff bracket will look like.

The Wild Card game on Friday will see the Cardinals travel to Atlanta to take on the Braves, who finished their regular season with a 4-0 win in Pittsburgh to finish at 94-68. The winner of that game will host the 98-64 Nationals for the first two games of the NLDS, starting on Sunday.

The other National League matchup will see the NL Central champion Reds heading to San Francisco to take on the NL West champion Giants starting on Saturday. Neither team has played yet today, but the Nationals hold the tiebreaker over the 97-64 Reds, making a win by them largely useless at the end of the day.

UPDATE: Game times are starting to leak out. Cardinals-Braves on Friday will take place at 5:07 PM eastern, and game one of the Reds-Giants game will start at 9:37 PM eastern on Saturday. Nothing yet on the Nationals vs the wild card winner on Sunday because of the unknown opponent as of right now.
