I'm sure everyone has heard of the Taiwanese animations that roll out every so often when there's a significant news event in America. Well, a new one just came out, and it goes after…the New York Yankees?
In this video, the Yankees pending collapse is discussed. Both the Yankees and Orioles are on pirate ships, with the teams fighting each other with cannons and such. Orioles manager Buck Showalter wears an eye patch, a tri-corner hat, and has a parrot on his shoulder.
CC Sabathia is compared to a whale that Greenpeace tries to bring back into the water.
The Yankees infield is all shown with walkers, which is a little inaccurate in the case of Robinson Cano, and Alex Rodriguez is given a shot into his butt the size of a human leg.
Mark Teixeira is shown in the hospital in a full body cast, and Derek Jeter is deemed an "overhyped singles slapper".
This is a pretty fantastic animation, and I can only expect that if George Steinbrenner was still alive, he'd claim that Taiwan is jealous of the history of the Yankees.
