Josh Hamilton drops a pop-up, allowing two A’s runs to score

In Wednesday's crucial A's-Rangers matchup for the AL West title, the Rangers jumped out to a 5-1 lead. The A's quickly came back to tie the game at five runs in the fourth, and took the lead 7-5 after Josh Hamilton dropped a pop-up hit by Yoenis Cespedes with two outs, allowing a pair of runs to score and put the A's on top in the fourth inning.

Hamilton's drop was pretty much the draw that broke the camel's back in this game, as the Rangers didn't score another run all game, while the A's kept pouring on en route to a 12-5 victory and the AL West championship. The oddest thing about this division title: the A's didn't spend one day alone in first place all year…until the end of game 162.
