Bad news, everyone: the Winter Meetings are over, and we're now into the cold, harsh offseason where news trickles out slowly but surely. But there are some huge names still on the free agent market (Josh Hamilton, Zack Greinke, Michael Bourn to name three), and hopefully rumors continue to swirl around those teams.
Over the last two days of the Winter Meetings, we've seen the following players find their way off of the free agent and/or trade markets…
–Jeff Keppinger (White Sox)
–Jason Bay (Mariners) and Eric Chavez (Diamondbacks)
–Sean Burnett (Angels) and Randy Choate (Cardinals)
–Joe Blanton (Angels) and Jeff Francis (Rockies)
–Michael Young (Phillies, still pending…thanks, ten and five rights!)
–Ben Revere (Phillies)
–Koji Uehara (Red Sox)
We've also written features about just who Anibal Sanchez's mystery team is, a confusing winter for the Seattle Mariners, Andrew Cashner nearly losing a thumb, and the Texas Rangers controlling the rest of the offseason. Today, we'll have a piece going live about the winners and losers coming out of the Winter Meetings, and who knows what else.
Enjoy your offseason, everyone.
