Chipper Jones walks off on the Phillies – again

Back on May 2nd, the Braves beat the Phillies 15-13 in 11 innings on a walkoff homer by Chipper Jones in one of the craziest games of the year. Four months to the day later…Jones did it again, hitting a three-run homer off of Jonathan Papelbon in the bottom of the ninth to give the Braves an 8-7 win in a game they once trailed 7-1.

This win was a necessary one for Atlanta, who had lost the first two games of this series, including a soul-crushing game on Friday where Craig Kimbrel blew just his third save of the season. The win moves Atlanta to three game ahead of the Cardinals for the top wild card spot in the National League, and 4.5 games ahead of the Pirates for the second spot.
