Game 6 of the World Series Officially Postponed by Rain

Busch Stadium

After waiting 39 years to see their team win their first ever World Series title, Texas Rangers fans are going to have to wait at least one more day.

Game 6 of the World Series at Busch Stadium was officially postponed due to rain. Ron Washington is expected to trot out Colby Lewis tomorrow to take on the Cardinals’ Jaime Garcia in what could be the clincher for a fanbase long starved for a championship. The Rangers are going to need a strong showing from Lewis, who up until two years ago was pitching in the Japanese leagues. That said, Lewis is one of the team’s best pitchers in the postseason, posting a line of 4-1, 2.22 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP in seven starts.

Hopefully the rainout gives Tony LaRussa and company an opportunity to straighten out any potential bullpen communication issues that are still lingering from Monday’s Game 5 debacle.
