Saturday’s game between the A’s and Giants at Oakland’s O.co Coliseum was canceled due to rain. But that rain brought a familiar visitor back to the Athletics’ home ballpark: Flooding!
It's happening already; with the rain today, there are overflowing toilets and flooding in coaches' room. #Athletics

According to the San Francisco Chronicle‘s Susan Slusser, water was bubbling up from the shower drains and toilets in the Athletics coaches’ locker room. The good news, if there is any, is that the water was clear this time and not filled with raw sewage, unlike the two stoppages that occurred at the O.co Coliseum last year.
If you’re a A’s player, perhaps all that’s left is to joke about it. And probably be thankful that this apparently didn’t occur in the clubhouse while players were attempting to take a shower or use the bathroom.
“@joshreddick16: Back in Oakland? Sewage problems in clubhouse!! Yep. We are BACK BABAY!” Commitment To Excrement! Just win baby!

Here’s a Vine taken by MLB.com’s Jane Lee of leakage in the tunnel that leads out to the field.
The A’s are still on the lookout for a new ballpark to call home, preferably in San Jose. Their lease with O.co Coliseum runs out after the 2015 season. But those two years could be long, torturous ones if the pipes continue to back up whenever there’s a heavy rain. What an embarrassment for MLB.
