Rarely on Twitter do athletes give away a ton of personal information. It’s usually the same old song of “go team!” and “great practice!” and so on and so forth, with various other pop culture things thrown in there. But Blue Jays catcher JP Arencibia tweeted something interesting today, that got quite a few of us at Bloguin laughing.
Now, I really don’t care what your fetish is. We all have them, and no, I’m not going to share mine with you today. But it certainly is….interesting for a professional athlete to mention something like this in a public. My opinion on Arencibia hasn’t changed at all….I mean, what he likes off the field isn’t my business and it doesn’t affect his play. I just think it’s funny (and refreshing) to see an athlete be this open in a public forum.
Some fans questioned what he said, and he didn’t back down. Good on you, JP. It’s odd that you revealing a fetish got you more respect from me….but here we are. Kudos.
