Swarm of bees delays Mariners-Angels game

Sunday's Mariners-Angels game in Anaheim was delayed for 23 minutes in the bottom of the third inning for an odd reason – because a swarm of bees was invading the outfield.

The swarm that was located beyond the right field wall caused players and fans alike to scatter until they eventually left the ballpark. This is the second time that an infestation of bees has plagued the Angels this year after the visitors dugout at Kauffman Stadium was flooded with the insects when the club was in Kansas City earlier this year.

In a slightly ironic twist, the Angels lineup on Sunday had several players that were in AAA earlier this season. The Angels AAA team is called the Salt Lake Buzz. Of course they are.
