Miami Marlins right fielder Giancarlo Stanton hits long home runs like they're going out of style. On Wednesday night in Philadelphia, Stanton absolutely brutalized this Ethan Martin pitch out of Citizens Bank Park. The ball landed on the roof of one of the concession stands in Ashburn Alley in center field, and the home run was measured at 463 feet, which seems way off in my mind.
Personal aside: my dad is at the game tonight. A week and a half ago, I was at the game in Philadelphia when Evan Gattis did this to a baseball. Watch out, Phillies: when the Lucia family is in town, there's a high chance that your opponents are going to obliterate baseballs.
